Boston, MA: Shakespeare on the Common

Please join the Alumni Club of Boston for a Commonwealth Shakespeare Company performance of

Romeo & Juliet
By William Shakespeare
Directed by Allegra Libonati

One of Greater Boston's most beloved traditions, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company's Free Shakespeare On the Common takes up residence once again with Shakespeare’s drama, Romeo & Juliet proving that the power of love triumphs over divisions and differences. The Capulet and Montague families have been engaged in a multi-generational feud, causing much distress and havoc in the city of Verona; but when young Romeo, son of the Montagues, meets Juliet, the daughter of the Capulets, their immediate love blossoms and accepts no barriers, with tragic results.

Babson's reserved seats for this performance will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a 4 guest cap per group. We only have 75 seats available and will alert you the day before the event if you've booked a seat or will be joining us on the lawn.  Although the reserved seats fill up quickly, we invite all Babson alumni and friends to join us on the lawn. Please remember to bring a blanket or chair. Chair rentals are available on site. Note: taller chairs are restricted to specific areas (towards the back).

Complimentary snacks and beverages will be available at the Babson tent.

For Babson alumni, faculty, staff, and students who are unable to join us on July 20, we are pleased to offer a 20% discount for the Friends Section seating on other performance nights with the code BABSON through Commonwealth Shakespeare Company - HERE -  Blackout dates may apply.
