12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Meditation

This weekly meditation class will be led by Babson’s Meditation Instructor, Chris Scheller, who will guide participants through a variety of accessible, secular meditation techniques adapted from the Buddhist tradition. These simple and direct practices cultivate relaxation, mindfulness, and basic wellbeing. By relaxing tension and opening to our sensory experience through these techniques, participants will learn new means of working with stress, difficult emotions, physical discomfort, and the challenges we encounter in our lives. This class is suitable for any experience level.

Chris trained to teach meditation at Harvard University, where he received a Master of Divinity degree in 2009. He concentrated his studies on the intersection of meditation and psychology, as well as the history of meditation practices within the Buddhist tradition. He has studied at various ashrams and monasteries in India and the USA including the Tushita Meditation Centre, the Insight Meditation Society, the Zen Peacemakers, and lived and studied at the Cambridge Zen Center.

Investing in the future of Cannabis, Gaming, and Alcohol
Registration for this event is now closed. Walk-ins are welcome!

The future is bright in Massachusetts for entrepreneurs and investors, boldly paving the way in cannabis, gaming, and alcohol. From new growers, to old brewing techniques, and reinvented gaming channels, there has never been a better time for “sin-vesting” in the Commonwealth.

Join us for an evening discussion with some of Babson’s local players in each of these burgeoning industries, followed by a happy hour of beer and spirt cocktails featuring Babson-born entrepreneur creations.

Panel Moderator: Erica Zakha MBA’16
Babson MBA ‘16, participant and 1st place winner of final pitch competition for WIN Lab 2016-2017 cohort. Erica is a Babson Alumni Club of Boston Board Member and has no background in vice industries. Her professional experience spans customer service, people management, and solopreneurship, in B2B and B2C companies. She currently is honing her skills in B2B software sales. Qualifications for moderating this Sinvesting panel? Curiosity.
