All Day Application for Degree Closes on May 7th! (Multi-Day Event)
May graduates must complete an Application for Degree. The application for degree allows students to enter the name they want printed on their diploma, the phonetic spelling of their name, and their anticipated graduation date. If the application is not completed by the deadline, the name on the diploma will be printed exactly as it appears on the student’s academic record. The Application for Degree is located in Portal under the Smart Tools, in the Academic section. If the Smart Tools section does not appear on Portal, drill down on Add Content located in the upper left corner of Portal (next to where it says Hello, Name!). Click Add under the Smart Tools section. If the Smart Tools section still does not appear, contact Support at 781-239-4357. (This is for graduate Students ONLY! If you are an undergraduate student please contact your class dean in Academic Services!)

Female executives face unique challenges when taking on new or different leadership roles, especially those that involve more complex skill sets.  To succeed in these new positions, women executives must develop both the skills and the confidence to address leadership challenges.  Designed to help transitioning and established leaders gain and manage the visibility that comes with leadership responsibility, From Opportunity to Action helps participants gain a new perspective on themselves, their business units, and their companies.

In this vinyasa style of hatha yoga, we’ll move through yoga postures, integrating breath and movement, while focusing on body awareness and alignment.  Through this practice, participants will develop muscular strength, improve core conditioning, and increase their flexibility.  Incorporating both modifications and advanced postures, this class is geared towards all fitness levels.   Taught by Babson’s Laurel Aroian.

Who:  Anyone!

When:  Wednesdays from 7-8am beginning on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 and ending on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in the Chandor Dance Studio.

Hosted by the admission staff, group information sessions are a great way to learn about Babson. We welcome prospective students and their families to attend a session to learn about Babson’s unique curriculum, student life, and the admission process.

Preregistration is not required. Information sessions are held in the Lunder Admission Center at Mustard Hall. Parking is available in designated spaces in the Lunder Parking Lot or Knight Parking Lot. When you arrive, please see the receptionist in the admission office for a parking permit. Tired of trying to lose weight without success; or are you just looking to eat healthier?  Join the Whole New U Weight Loss Challenge, a weight loss and nutrition education program that will provide you with the skills to lose weight, change your eating habits, and practice a healthier lifestyle, free of charge!  By following the Whole New U program, you will learn the latest on nutrition and gain control over your own eating, without the unhealthy ups and downs of fad diets and expensive, ineffective weight loss programs.  You will learn how to improve eating habits, deal with weight plateaus, learn about emotional and binge eating, increase your energy and enjoy better overall health.   No points to count, no weigh in required!

Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual exercise that has been known to increase flexibility, strengthen muscles and provide relaxation.  Join Dawn George as she takes you through a series of slow yoga poses to help you relax and unwind from the stress of the day.  This class is perfect for all fitness levels and no experience is necessary.

*Dress appropriately with layers and gloves or mittens.
*Properly fitted, supportive skates are essential to progress.
*Figure skates are recommended for beginners.
*No REFUNDS and No CREDITS without a doctor’s note.               
*No MAKE-UP classes.
*Classes may be cancelled, added, or combined due to enrollment.
*Same-day registrations will NOT be accepted.
*In the event of inclement weather, or rink closure, no refunds will be issued
*Classes are held on most school and religious holidays.
*A parent/guardian must remain in the facility during classes.

During dinner, select sustainability projects from various stakeholders will be showcased. These short, TED talk-style, presentations will help us connect the dots of the many accomplishments from this academic year as well as plant seeds for sustainability projects to come.
