End Time 5:20 PM Learn To Skate--Spring Session (Tuesday's at 4:30pm) (Multi-Day Event)
Learn to Skate (LTS) – Ages 5 and older: 40minute class, 10minute practice following the class: Beginner through Freestyle 3 Level
Learn to Skate+ (LTS+) – Ages 5 and older who have passed the Alpha Level and want to broaden their skills. These classes will incorporate Figures, Moves in the Field and Ice Dance Level 1 into their class: 40minute class. 10 minute practice following the class: Beta through Freestyle 3 Level

*Participants are divided based upon skating ability & Age.
*We DO NOT guarantee that siblings and/or friends will be in the same class.
*Please arrive early to allow time to secure skates and find your instructor.
*Helmets are strongly recommended for beginners.
*Dress appropriately with layers and gloves or mittens.
*Properly fitted, supportive skates are essential to progress.
*Figure skates are recommended for beginners.
*No REFUNDS and No CREDITS without a doctor’s note.               
*No MAKE-UP classes.
*Classes may be cancelled, added, or combined due to enrollment.
*Same-day registrations will NOT be accepted.
*In the event of inclement weather, or rink closure, no refunds will be issued
*Classes are held on most school and religious holidays.
*A parent/guardian must remain in the facility during classes.

 

6:00 AM - 7:15 AM Wellness-Masters Swim
The Babson Masters Swim Program is a swim program for adults.  Some people use it for fitness or to have fun, while others use it to train to compete in swim meets or other competitions such as triathlons.  Each practice is guided by a swim coach, and instruction and feedback are offered to participants.

6:30 AM - 7:20 AM Wellness-Beginner/Intermediate Bootcamp

Boot Camp is a 50 minute, two day a week program designed to improve your cardio endurance, build strength and induce weight loss.  The personalized approach to group exercise makes the class fun and motivating in pursuit of results and your personal goals.  Instructor Craig Paris uses a variety of body weight exercises, resistance bands, agility drills, running, and plyometric training to activate multiple muscle groups and burn the maximum amount of calories during class.

Who:   Any Babson employee who is looking to take their workout to the next level.  Please note that class is appropriate for those just beginning as well as those who have nuary participated before.

When: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-7:20am beginning on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 and ending on Thursday, May 14, 2015.

How:   Participants may attend class as often as they would like.  Those interested in participating should register through the Babson Calendar Bootcamp event (we would like to be able to notify participants of any changes or cancellations that may arise).

Please be our guest at the 9th Annual Babson Energy & Environmental Conference. Learn how to leverage entrepreneurship to solve complex energy and environmental challenges. 12:00 PM - 12:45 PM Wellness-Zumba

The Zumba® program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Originally created by Alberto “Beto” Perez in Columbia, Zumba® is a Latin inspired dance fitness class that combines interval training sessions with fast and slow rhythms to sculpt and tone your body while burning fat.  Our goal is simple: We want you to want to work out, to love working out, and to get hooked.  Zumba® fanatics achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in every calorie-burning, body-energizing class.  This class is perfect for all fitness levels and no dance experience is necessary!

12:15 PM - 1:15 PM Wellness-Emotional, Mindless Eating and Stress Seminar

We eat for many reasons, one of them to soothe ourselves when we are stressed out.  Learn your trigger points, why we turn to food for comfort, how brain chemistry really effects our decisions about food, how mindless eating can really pack on the pounds and how to break habits with SKILL POWER.

3:40 PM - 4:30 PM Hockey Skating Skills - Spring Session (Thursday at 3:40pm)

Our Hockey class is designed to work on the skating skills without sticks. We are working to improve your basic skating edges, speed and power. Some skills/drills may utilize a hockey stick, but the primary focus is without a hockey stick.

 *Skaters are divided up by abilty and age

*We DO NOT guarantee that friends or siblings will have the same teacher

*Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early

*A parent/guardian MUST remain in the building during any and all classes

*The Babson Skating Center has a NO Refund or Credit policy. In the case of an injury, a Doctors note must be given to recieve a refund or credit

*The Babson Skating Center has a NO MAKE UP policy

*Same Day registration is NOT accepted

*Classes ARE held on most religous holidays

*Classes may be cancelled, added or combined due to enrollment

*The Babson Skating Center does not follow the Babson College cancellation schedule

Every Thursday, Babson volunteers serve 100 meals to those in need and help clean up afterwards.

4:40 PM - 5:30 PM Bridge and Ice Dance--Spring Session (Thursday at 4:40pm)

Bridge: Skaters MUST have passed Delta Level in order to take this class: 50minute class with no practice: Freestyle 1 through 6: class will incorporate Figures, Moves in the Field and Ice Dance Level 1 and 2
Ice Dance: Skaters MUST have passed Alpha Level in order to take this class: 50minute class with no practice: Dance 1 through Dance 6 Level
