3:00 PM - 4:00 PM Help Them Grow Or Watch Them Go

It’s easy to get lost in the day-to-day of getting work done, going to meetings, and living your life; and forget to think ahead to what’s next in your career. And even when you take the time to think of what you’d like to do with your careers, it can be difficult to figure out exactly how to get there.

The Help Them Grow or Watch Them Go program helps you work through a series of five career conversations to have with your manager:

- Outline career responsibilities of you, your manager, and the College
- Identify skills, strengths, weaknesses, values, interests, goals, dislikes, and preferences
- Think about the your career with respect to these as well as industry factors
- Create a vision for your career
- Develop a plan to reach that vision and get started!

Over ten weeks, participants will attend five 1-hour in-person facilitated sessions (Weeks 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9), and then have related discussions with their managers and complete “homework” (Weeks 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10). This program starts on March 23 from 3-4pm and takes place every other Wednesday through May 18. Facilitated by Rita B. Allen and HR’s Beth Schirick.

This is a pilot program, so space is limited.

Click here if you are unable to attend this session, but would like to in the future.
