May graduates must complete an Application for Degree. The application for degree allows students to enter the name they want printed on their diploma, the phonetic spelling of their name, and their anticipated graduation date. If the application is not completed by the deadline, the name on the diploma will be printed exactly as it appears on the student’s academic record. The Application for Degree is located in Portal under the Smart Tools, in the Academic section. If the Smart Tools section does not appear on Portal, drill down on Add Content located in the upper left corner of Portal (next to where it says Hello, Name!). Click Add under the Smart Tools section. If the Smart Tools section still does not appear, contact Support at 781-239-4357. (This is for graduate Students ONLY! When:  Wednesdays from 7-8am beginning on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 and ending on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in the Chandor Dance Studio.

8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Day of Silence

Please join Babson’s Day of Silence on April 17, 2013 by being either a “Silent” or “Vocal” (for those who must speak throughout the day) supporter. The silence will take place during the hours of 8:30am-4:30pm. Stop by the Glavin Chapel to pick up a t-shirt and a participant’s sticker identifying you as a Silent or Vocal supporter.

The Day of Silence is a national movement protesting the silence faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and their allies. We are silent to echo this silence caused by harassment, prejudice, and discrimination. We believe that ending the silence is the first step towards bringing awareness, and fighting these injustices.

This event is brought to you by: Natalie Taylor Scholars, Bernon Center for Public Service, Glavin Office of Multicultural & International Education, Graduate Dean’s Office, The Lewis Institute, and the Undergraduate Dean’s Office.
