12:00 PM - 12:45 PM Wellness - Come as You Are Tai Chi
Tai Chi is a gentle exercise for body and mind.  With its roots in Chinese martial arts and traditional Chinese medicine, Tai Chi uses slow and gentle movements to build your balance, strength, flexibility and focus.  No matter your age or physical condition, you can practice Tai Chi.  Scientific studies support the effectiveness of Tai Chi in improving the lives of people with chronic conditions, such as arthritis, diabetes, and osteoporosis.  Most of all, Tai Chi is relaxing and fun.  So come as you are, in comfortable clothes, with flat-soled shoes.  You will learn the basic principles of Tai Chi as well as exercises and a short form you will be able to practice on your own.  The course will be taught by faculty member Carolyn Hotchkiss, who has studied Yang and Sun style Tai Chi for five years, and is certified to teach Tai Chi for Arthritis.

Telling and Re-framing the Story of You: An Interactive Career Workshop for Women

From the playground to the cocktail party to the job interview, the way you tell your story leaves an indelible mark on the person you are speaking to.  For women looking to get back to work after a career break, this presents a particularly difficult challenge.

Babson is partnering with reacHIRE, a career re-entry solution for professional women, to provide you with the strategies to eloquently present yourself, your prior professional experience, and your skills to succeed in today’s job market.

During this workshop, each participant will:

- Explore your story and identify how it can best serve your purpose going forward.

- Discuss both internal and external bridges and barriers to help uncover the real challenges facing you.

- Learn about the support we can all tap into as we re-enter the workforce
