6:30 AM - 7:20 AM Wellness-Advanced Core Bootcamp (ACBC)

ACBC is a 50 minute, two day a week advanced conditioning program that focuses on reaching levels of fitness beyond what a standard Boot Camp will typically yield. Many of the techniques are direct from Kevin Kearns’ "Burn With Kearns" MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) conditioning program. Instructors Sonny Romano and Christy Bishal will utilize many of the training techniques used by professional UFC/MMA fighters. The class is a challenge but a lot of fun and as a bonus attendees will learn the basics of defending themselves while they get into tremendous physical condition.

Who:   Any Babson employee who is looking to take their workout to the next level. 

When: Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30-7:20am beginning on Monday, January 5, 2015 and ending on Wednesday, May 13, 2015.

How:   Participants may attend class as often as they would like.  Those interested in participating should register through the Babson Calendar Advanced Bootcamp event (we would like to be able to notify participants of any changes or cancellations that may arise).

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Undergraduate Admission Tour
A student-guided tour is a wonderful way to see Babson’s extensive facilities (including a residence hall, classroom, and dining hall), talk with current students, and see our community in action. 

Pre-registration is not required. Tours depart from the Lunder Admission Center at Mustard Hall. Parking is available in designated spaces in the Lunder Parking Lot or Knight Parking Lot. When you arrive, please see the receptionist in the admission office for a parking permit. Click here for information on getting to campus.

11:15 AM - 12:00 PM Undergraduate Admission Information Session
Hosted by the admission staff, group information sessions are a great way to learn about Babson. We welcome prospective students and their families to attend a session to learn about Babson’s unique curriculum, student life, and the admission process.

Volunteers will be tutoring third grade students on math basics and assist with homework.
3:30 PM - 6:00 PM After School Youth Development-Needham Housing Authority
A comprehensive after school activities program that includes reading, games and crafts.

Babson volunteers will teach middle school children of the housing authority how to organize and run a business.

5:30 PM - 7:30 PM Babson Up to Us Presents TedX Speaker Colleen Macklin
See the first ever TedX speaker coming to Babson! Colleen Macklin will discuss the idea of using games and game design as an active form of social change, in her exciting and interactive talk on Monday, February 9th in Sorenson Theater. There will be food and refreshments served in the event, along a surprise activity including Biz E Beaver and selected guests.

Colleen is a game designer and an Associate Professor at Parsons The New School for Design, where she founded PETLab (Prototyping Education and Technology Lab). She is currently a Director’s Fellow at the MIT Media Lab and her work has been shown at Come Out and Play, The Whitney Museum for American Art, and Creative Time. She is also known as DJ station wagon and was once involved in the development of rave scenes in NYC and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
