6:30 AM - 7:20 AM Wellness - Beginner/Intermediate Boot Camp
Boot Camp is a 50 minute, two day a week program designed to improve your cardio endurance, build strength and induce weight loss.  The personalized approach to group exercise makes the class fun and motivating in pursuit of results and your personal goals.  Instructor Craig Paris uses a variety of body weight exercises, resistance bands, agility drills, running, and plyometric training to activate multiple muscle groups and burn the maximum amount of calories during class. 

Please note that anyone participating in any of the Be Well@Babson programs must sign a waiver before beginning any program or activity.  Classes may fill up and are assigned on a first come, first serve basis.  All of the Be Well@Babson programs are limited to Babson staff and faculty only and there are no exceptions that can be made.

Join Babson’s own Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for a training program which will heighten mental and physical fortitude through flexibility, balance, coordination, conditioning, strength, power and agility drills, exercises and routines.

12:00 PM - 12:45 PM Wellness - Cardio BarreBLAST

A high energy, no impact fitness class that combines work at the ballet barre with light weights to give you a continuous fat burning class. Toning and resistance exercises for the glutes, legs, torso, and arms will sculpt your muscles and elongate the appearance of your body to get you the body you've ALWAYS wanted!  All levels welcome.

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Wellness - Meditation
This weekly meditation class will be led by Babson’s Meditation Instructor, Rick Landwehr, who will guide participants through a variety of accessible meditation techniques. These simple and direct practices cultivate relaxation, mindfulness, and basic wellbeing. By relaxing tension and opening to our sensory experience through these techniques, participants will learn new means of working with stress, difficult emotions, physical discomfort, and the challenges we encounter in our lives. This class is suitable for any experience level.

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM INFLUENCE WITHOUT AUTHORITY

How do we get someone (that we don’t manage) to do something that we want them to do? Most of us have had this challenge, along with the frustration in attempting to make this happen.

Join your Babson colleagues and Professor Allan Cohen, co-author of the book “Influence Without Authority”, to explore effective ways to gain the commitment of others. This multiple meeting, book club experience includes topics such as; assessing situations, relationship building, getting buy-in, communication techniques, dealing with resistance, and finding win-win outcomes.

To make the learning real and relevant, participants will tackle challenging scenarios tied to book content.

5:00 PM - 7:30 PM Community Action Program: Harvard Square Meals

This nonprofit organization operates a community supper each Thursday evening. The mission is to provide a nutritious meal in a hospitable environment to anyone who needs a meal. Babson students will serve about 100 meals to those in need and help clean up afterwards.

Thursdays, 5:15-7:30 pm. Babson students will leave campus around 4:30 pm and return around 8:15 pm.

5:00 PM - 7:00 PM VR: Inside the Studio with Sensorium

Sensorium is an experiential studio working at the intersection of art, commerce, and technology.  The team focuses on original content and interactive design that push the boundaries of virtual reality, augmented reality, and other new media activations.  In 2018 they joined with Commonwealth Shakespeare Company and Google to produce Hamlet: Thy Father's Spirit, the longest narrative virtual reality experience to date.  Join co-founders Matthew Niederhauser and John Fitzgerald for an interactive virtual reality workshop that demonstrates for participants the equipment and processes that they use to create experiences like this one-from filming to editing to viewing.

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Community Action Program: Boys and Girls Club
As part of Babson’s mission to educate entrepreneurial leaders who create great economic and social value everywhere, the BELA program strives to bring entrepreneurship where it's needed most - both globally and locally. Teaching the basics of ET&A™, Babson students educate members of the Boys and Girls club by breaking down concepts to a more digestible level for younger students.

This program leaves at 5pm, and returns at 8:30pm.
