A keen observer of the world around him, Pat Falco uses a street art graphic drawing style and hand-printed text to reflect with honesty and wit on both social and personal issues. He chooses mis-tinted paints and found objects for his art surfaces, because, as he says, “I’d like not to make more waste than is already here.” Consumer culture, interpersonal relationships, the art world, our current political climate, heartbreak, gentrification, socioeconomic stratification, and fear of failure are a just a few of the themes where he mines incongruities for humor and pathos.

6:30 AM - 7:30 AM Wellness - Beginner/Intermediate Boot Camp
Boot Camp is a 50 minute, two day a week program designed to improve your cardio endurance, build strength and induce weight loss.  The personalized approach to group exercise makes the class fun and motivating in pursuit of results and your personal goals.  Instructor Craig Paris uses a variety of body weight exercises, resistance bands, agility drills, running, and plyometric training to activate multiple muscle groups and burn the maximum amount of calories during class.

12:00 PM - 12:45 PM Wellness - Come as You Are Tai Chi
Tai Chi is a gentle exercise for body and mind.  With its roots in Chinese martial arts and traditional Chinese medicine, Tai Chi uses slow and gentle movements to build your balance, strength, flexibility and focus.  No matter your age or physical condition, you can practice Tai Chi.  Scientific studies support the effectiveness of Tai Chi in improving the lives of people with chronic conditions, such as arthritis, diabetes, and osteoporosis.  Most of all, Tai Chi is relaxing and fun.  So come as you are, in comfortable clothes, with flat-soled shoes.  You will learn the basic principles of Tai Chi as well as exercises and a short form you will be able to practice on your own.  The course will be taught by faculty member Carolyn Hotchkiss, who has studied Yang and Sun style Tai Chi for five years, and is certified to teach Tai Chi for Arthritis.

12:00 PM - 12:45 PM Wellness - Zumba
The Zumba® program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Originally created by Alberto “Beto” Perez in Columbia, Zumba® is a Latin inspired dance fitness class that combines interval training sessions with fast and slow rhythms to sculpt and tone your body while burning fat.  Our goal is simple: We want you to want to work out, to love working out, and to get hooked.  Zumba® fanatics achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in every calorie-burning, body-energizing class.  This class is perfect for all fitness levels and no dance experience is necessary!

Volunteers will be tutoring third grade middle school children on math basics and assist with homework
3:30 PM - 5:30 PM Framingham Housing Authority Hoops and Homework Afterschool Program
Babson volunteers will teach middle school children of the housing authority how to organize and run a business.
4:30 PM - 6:00 PM Immigration Attorney Visit #1
Immigration Attorneys, Lesley Hauser and Sandy Long, of O'Niel & Hauser P.C., will discuss employment visa options (including H-1B, TN, L-1, and E-1/E-2 status) as well as legal considerations for operating a business while in the U.S.

Note: This session will not cover CPT/OPT work authorization.

5:30 PM ADVANCED YOGA (Multi-Day Event)

ADVANCED YOGA connects the mind with the body, allowing you to challenge yourself and practice poses that challenge you both mentally and physically. This class will give you a better understanding of your body to master it and manipulate it to the form of your choice. With poses involving flexions, extensions and inversions, you will see your body getting enlightened.
