6:30 AM - 7:20 AM Wellness-Advanced Core Bootcamp (ACBC)

ACBC is a 50 minute, two day a week advanced conditioning program that focuses on reaching levels of fitness beyond what a standard Boot Camp will typically yield. Many of the techniques are direct from Kevin Kearns’ "Burn With Kearns" MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) conditioning program. Instructors Sonny Romano and Christy Bishal will utilize many of the training techniques used by professional UFC/MMA fighters. The class is a challenge but a lot of fun and as a bonus attendees will learn the basics of defending themselves while they get into tremendous physical condition.

Who:   Any Babson employee who is looking to take their workout to the next level.

When: Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30-7:20am beginning on Monday, January 5, 2015 and ending on Wednesday, May 13, 2015.

How:   Participants may attend class as often as they would like.  Those interested in participating should register through the Babson Calendar Advanced Bootcamp event (we would like to be able to notify participants of any changes or cancellations that may arise).

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Wellness-Peaceful Space, Peaceul Mind-Handling Stress Through Getting Organized Seminar

In these stressful, technologically-driven times, we need peaceful, orderly surroundings more than ever.  Peaceful surroundings help us to focus, they foster clarity and productivity, and most-importantly they promote peace of mind.

Don’t despair!  Join professional organizer Karen Kramer, for a seminar in which you will learn about decluttering and organizing your home and office environment - a process that will foster productivity, clarity, and peace of mind in these stressful times.  Learn skills and habits for creating peaceful space, and how to motivate yourself to take on this life-enhancing process.  Bring one of your own personal getting-organized challenges, and leave with a plan for tackling it.  Also included will be some simple mini-meditations (breathing exercises) that will help you with this process and other life stresses as well.

Karen Kramer has been the owner of the professional organizing business Space To Breathe for the past 15 years.  She helps people create peaceful space and peace of mind, with their life goals in mind.  She has a prior career as a psychotherapist, a specialty in mindfulness and meditation, and a life-long love of organizing things and creating peaceful environments.

Directed by Edet Belzberg
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 7 P.M.
Carling-Sorenson Theater

"Watchers of the Sky" interweaves four stories of remarkable courage, compassion, and determination, while setting out to uncover the forgotten life of Raphael Lemkin—the man who created the word “genocide,” and believed the law could protect the world from mass atrocities. Inspired by the United Nations Ambassador Samantha Power’s Pulitzer Prize-winning book, "A Problem From Hell," "Watchers of the Sky" takes viewers on a provocative journey from Nuremberg to The Hague, from Bosnia to Darfur, from criminality to justice, and from apathy to action.
