All Day The Caprichos: Etchings by Emily Lombardo (Multi-Day Event)

The Caprichos is a series of etchings that are in direct conversation with and pay homage to Francisco Goya’s “Los Caprichos” of 1799. Both reveal the dark underbelly of cultural movements that ultimately serve to divide society across economic, racial, political, religious, and gender lines. Lombardo, an artist who investigates personal and cultural identity in her work, brings these issues to light through a queer feminist lens.

12:00 PM - 1:30 PM Diversity Matters Luncheon Dialogue (for faculty & staff)

The Diversity Matters Luncheon Series continues Thursday, November 9, 12:00 to 1:30 pm, Trim Faculty Dining Room. This is a monthly forum where faculty and staff explore topics and share expertise with the aim of ensuring an inclusive campus for all (see below for our December date).

Did you know 795 million people in the world do not have enough food to lead a healthy active life? That's about one in nine people on earth (Food Aid Foundation).  In the United States, close to 16 million households struggle to put food on the table. In the state of Massachusetts, 1 in 10 households are food insecure (Project Bread).

In recognition of Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week (Nov. 3-11), Lisa Thomas, Josh Stevenson from the Office of Faith and Service will discuss hunger and homelessness issues globally, domestically and locally. Students leaders will also share the ways in which they support this cause.

As always, you are free to come and go as your schedule permits, but know that we will begin the program shortly after 12pm.

Discounted Lunch – bring $2 in cash and Human Resources will cover the rest!  (Thank you HR!)

Food Drive:

*You are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the luncheon to support the Shooting Touch G3 program and the Epiphany School in Dorchester.
