Event Description: Craig Wing (our very own MBA grad, recently named top 40 under 40 in South Africa!), will deliver a lecture entitled “AI: Artificial Intelligence or Augmented Inequality: How technology may increase the divide,” addressing the moral and ethical consequences of technology and the impact on economic livelihoods as well as social and environmental changes. Craig explores the question: “If we can, should we?” with regard to advances in artificial intelligence, robotics, genetic sequencing, cryptocurrencies and more, wondering especially how such “advances” can mitigate—or aggravate—ongoing inequalities and oppressions in our 21st century world. |
