11:00 AM - 12:15 PM Are You Really Listening?

Communication skills are at the heart of everything we do, whether at home or at work; and in today’s fast-paced, always-on, multi-tasking world, we have become a generation of distracted people. While we often hear what others are saying, are we truly listening? Active listening skills can help us improve communication, interviewing, coaching, and relationship building skills.

In this interactive workshop, participants will learn simple but powerful active-listening concepts, as well as engage in brief exercises to practice the related skills. Active-listening is valuable for both work and non-work interactions.

Attendees: Faculty & Staff Only

Thursday, October 4, 11:00am to 12:15pm
