7:00 PM - 9:00 PM Theatre in the Rough: K2
Written by Patrick Meyers
Directed by Steve Maler
Stranded on an icy ledge near the top of the world’s second highest mountain, two climbers confront a disaster that tests their notions of friendship, loyalty, and mortality. Theatre-in-the-Rough is a script-in hand reading series presented without common theatrical elements like sets or costumes. These pared-down readings uniquely engage the audience by immersing them in the immediacy of the text and the actors’ performances, allowing one’s own imagination to take creative flight. Starring Jack Cutmore-Scott* and Ed Hoopman*.
Presented by Commonwealth Shakespeare Company.
*Member of Actors' Equity Association

A café. A lonely woman. A dead man. A cell phone. These are the ingredients of Sarah Ruhl’s Dead Man’s Cell Phone, a compelling and darkly humorous play that explores how we memorialize the dead, how that remembering changes us, and how technology both brings us together and keeps us apart.
Presented by TEST (The Empty Space Theater), by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
