Global Film Series - QUEEN OF VERSAILLES
Start Date: 2/11/2013Start Time: 7:00 PM
End Date: 2/11/2013End Time: 9:30 PM

Event Description
On Monday, February 11th, at 7:00 pm in the Carling-Sorenson Theater, Keri Putnam, Director of Sundance Institute, will introduce the documentary film QUEEN OF VERSAILLES (Dir. Lauren Greenfield, 2012). Ms. Putnam will also lead a discussion following the screening of the film. QUEEN OF VERSAILLES follows the real-life boom bust story of time-share mogul David Siegel and his wife Jackie, as they aspire to build the largest single family home in America. Rather than a simple critique, the film compels us to examine the Siegels' experience as emblematic of broader fissures in a prevalent contemporary American dream.
