Babson Campus and Webinar:
Managing Legal Risks in Cyberspace
This series is in response to a request from alumni and students for a forum to discuss legal issues related to entrepreneurial ventures with an expert in the field and with your business peers.
 
Each session, we will highlight a legal issue and invite you to participate in a round-table discussion.  The forum will also provide an opportunity to offer suggestions for future topics.  Each session will also be broadcast through Webex so you can watch the session remotely if you are unable to attend.

Session 1: The Writing’s On the Wall: Managing the Risks of Social Media in the Workplace

This program will discuss how to best manage the legal risks associated with use of social media, i.e. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn in the workplace. We will discuss potential legal ramifications to your company by the improper use of social media and how to develop an effective social media policy as a means of reducing risk. We will share ideas, concerns and different approaches to common problems.

Practicing business law and business litigation for over 25 years, John regularly counsels on labor and employment issues, government investigations, contract negotiations, shareholder agreements, mergers and acquisitions. As a litigator, he has handled court cases and arbitrations in such diverse areas as contract disputes to governance issues to payment matters.

Dan's practice focuses primarily on enforcement of intellectual property rights and electronic commerce. He also specializes in issues copyright law, copyright infringement issues, and licensing disputes.
